Nor-Weld Turns 50! We’re Not Old, We’re Vintage (and Still Rocking It in Orillia!)
Happy Birthday to Us! That’s right, folks, Nor-Weld Ltd. is celebrating 50 years of being your favorite metal superheroes in Orillia, Ontario! We’re not old; we’re vintage, like a classic car that just keeps getting better with age (and maybe a fresh coat of paint here and there).
Our origin story? Well, it all started back in 1973 when the legendary Leon Lesley Welch decided Orillia needed some seriously awesome steelwork. And boy, did he deliver! Nor-Weld quickly became known as the place to go for top-notch craftsmanship. We were building a reputation for excellence, taking on bigger and bolder projects, and basically, just being the metal wizards of Simcoe, Muskoka, Halliburton, and beyond.
Over the decades, we’ve seen a lot of changes, but one thing has stayed the same: our love for all things metal. Welch wasn’t just about building a business; he was a local hero, deeply involved in the Orillia community. He even ran for city council! Talk about dedication.
Now, we’ve got a new captain of the ship, Enzo Borrelli, who’s keeping the good times rolling and making sure we stay true to our roots. We’re still that “family of metal magicians” you’ve come to know and love, committed to quality, reliability, and giving back to our community.
